About the Sense of Place: Washington State Geospatial Poetry Anthology.

The poems in A Sense Of Place: The Washington State Geospatial Poetry Anthology are all written about a particular location in Washington state by Washington poets. We chose poems that evoked the atmosphere of place: the air, the water or lack of water, the smells, the sounds, the dirt, rocks, interiors, landscapes, landmarks, heritage and history of places in Washington. These poems take place on mountaintops, in backyards, on the reservation, on the highway, in a bookstore, in a river. The poems are not merely descriptive; they create an experience of interaction with a moment in space and time, enhanced with geospatial imaging and accompanied by photographs.
